A free, car-free block party put on by the Portland Bureau of Transportation that turns downtown streets into a playground for walking, biking, rolling, and hanging out. The 2.3-mile one-way route showcases SW Broadway and SW Park Avenue, connecting spots like Pioneer Courthouse Square, Pettygrove Park, Lovejoy Fountain Park, the South Park Blocks, Director Park, and the new Darcelle XV Plaza. This year’s route highlights Darcelle XV Plaza in honor of Darcelle XV’s legacy and the soon-to-be-completed public space in the heart of downtown. It’s a laid-back, festive atmosphere great for families with kids on bikes or scooters, strollers, or just a leisurely walk through downtown’s cultural spots.
